Many people believe that education should not include the arts. There has always been a general push for education to revolve around the math and sciences, which are considered to be of the most importance and value. Yes, these subjects are very important for students to learn about, and they are often subjects that students fail in, and therefore should be able to learn more about. However, learning about the Arts is actually a very important part of society and history, and is something that should never be cut. It is very important that you are learning about the arts, no matter what types of situations that you might be in.

One of the most important reasons to learn as much as you can about the arts is that you are learning about the history of the society in which you live, and other societies as well. Often, many cultures display their history through the arts, and this is the best way that they have to talk about what their histories have taught them. Many different art forms are methods of communications about history and in fact, most of the arts actually started with people striving to portray history.

Therefore, losing arts education actually means losing education about the history of the world around us. This is because there are so many cultures that rely on the arts for education and for passing on their knowledge to new generations.

The culture is another thing that is hugely impacted by the arts and by arts education. Most of the cultures in the world have some type of art form, or many types of art forms. Education in the arts is really education in all of these cultures, and learning about the various art forms is also learning about the various cultures. Why is it important to learn about various cultures? There are many reasons it is important to do so. First of all, learning about cultures means learning about where the people around you are coming form. You want to learn about who they were or who they are, and why they do as they do. You also want to learn about where you came from, and why you might act as you act, or do as you do. Learning about cultures through the arts promotes understanding, and in most cases, understanding leads to greater peace and to less violence.

These are not the only reasons that art education is very important. The other side of the subject is the creativity. Expressing yourself in a creative way is one of the best outlets that you have. Creating some art form – whether it is through words, painting, singing, acting, dance, or any of the arts - is a release of tension. It lowers stress. It teaches you valuable skills about art, about science, and about the world. It also gives each person who participates in it a creative outlet.

Being a part of art education means being a part of art in the world. Art exists in the world for many reasons. It moves people, it entertains people, and it allows people to relax and enjoy their surroundings. Without art in the world, the world would not be the same.

Art is not something that can be brought into a person's life without any help. Many children have no access to art, and while they can draw and paint things using their own creativity, the art that they could create with instruction would be so much more. Having art education allow students to learn about the world around them, and to learn to harness their own creative gifts. Not only that, but creating art strengthens the mind, and allows a person's brain to grow and to change, as well as to get stronger.

There are many reasons to focus on art education. There is no reason to ever cut art education or to not have access to art for anyone. Art is a part of the world around us all, and should be cherished and explored by everyone. It is something that can bring the entire world together, and it is something that everyone can do.
